A quarter acre fenced in dog run was re-imagined as both a formal potager and informal multi-purpose family space. I designed zones for specific functions—growing, eating and entertaining, and playing. Blue raised beds and pea gravel paths give the expansive area structure while the orchard in the rear of the garden is allowed to be wild with long grass and mown paths. A cutting garden, dining area, potting station, and bocce court were included to allow for a broad range family activities to take place within the enclosure.
